There’s power in stories. They connect us, challenge us, and make us feel seen. That’s why I wrote my memoir—to be a voice in the silence, to say the words some people can’t safely say themselves (yet!). It’s not a book about healing in the traditional sense; it’s a book that shares my story, which makes it a book about speaking out.
My story dives into the uncomfortable, the hidden, and the silenced…things society often tells us to keep quiet about. It’s a narrative for those who’ve lived through experiences that feel unspeakable, offering a quiet “me too” in solidarity.
But I didn’t write this book just for myself. I wrote it for those who are still unable to speak, for those who feel alone in their pain or their truth. My memoir is meant to shine a light in the darkness and say, “You’re not the only one.”
Why I Make It Free
So often, stories like this are locked away behind paywalls or limited access. But what happens when someone desperately needs to feel understood and can’t afford to buy the book that might help them feel less alone?
That’s why, from time to time as allowed, I make my memoir free as an ebook. I want my words to reach as many people as possible—not for fame or accolades, but to extend a lifeline. This is my way of opening the door to connection, courage, and community.
What the Book Is About
My memoir explores the complex layers of domestic violence, trauma, and survival, but it’s not a traditional survival tale with a “here’s the lesson I learned” ending. The message is within the story.
This book doesn’t tie up every loose end or offer easy answers, but it speaks honestly about what it looks like to live through the unspeakable and still show up every day. It’s raw, real, and written for the people who might feel alone, whether still living that life or in the aftermath.
How You Can Help
If you’ve ever felt that deep resonance of “this is my story too,” I hope my book can be a small light on your path. And if you know someone who might need it, please share it with them.
