(Hark! Two blog posts in one day!) Okay, here we go. I decided to start my Morning Pages again today. Well, I decided yesterday to start them yesterday, but as happens so often, I got busy preparing for other things and forgot. But I want to write a lot again. I want to write here...

Day 41 – I’m out of focus, which goes hand-in-hand with the day. Left for vacation the night before, drove all night, and didn’t sleep until the afternoon. Shortly after this photo was taken, in fact.

On the eve of my birthday, the eldest kidling and I went out for dinner. We chose Tajine Alami, a Moroccan restaurant in Manitou Springs (Colorado), because my belly dance teacher dances there and I wanted to see her in action. And because we wanted to try something entirely new. We absolutely got something new....

…you would blog too if it happened to you! The night before my birthday, my eldest son and I went out for an experience. I’ll share all about that (and video!) later this week. The morning of my special day, I stumbled out of my bedroom to see this:

“Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened.” -Jennifer Yane 365 is #11 on my 35 at 35 list. Taking a picture of myself every day isn’t about vanity or showing off. Ever feel like this? Like someone is constantly nipping at you while you try to run your own race? Here’s my problem. That nippy person is usually myself, not anyone else. I have a whole host of cheerleaders on my side, jumping and cheering and whatnot, just to encourage me. But I’ve been my own...

On day one of my 13-day holiday break, I was up at 3 a.m. I love when my brain and body decide to work against my will to sleep. (Where does one store one’s will, by the way, if not in one’s brain or body? Hmmmm…) All the same, stuff gets done when you add...

I grew up hearing variations of “You’re not good enough.” (“You’ll never amount to anything.” “You’re too stupid.” “Who would want you?” etc…) I wish I could say I grew out of that, that one day I took control of my thoughts and stopped feeling inferior to the world. The truth is, I struggle with...
