Tag Archives: God As of today, there are 18 days left until the end of Lent, and I’m restless. I’ve revamped my blog to bring it more in line with my photography, worked on the new direction (or rather, more streamlined direction) of my business, and journaled and read and sat in a lot of silence. The truth…  “I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened.” -Attributed to Mark Twain A friend reminds me constantly, “All is well.” As a mom, as a wife, as a woman, I have to grab this idea and hold on tightly because life is often too scary…  14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does…  Do you run when it gets hard? Do you quit when you’re scared? That’s been my modus operandi for years. YEARS! And sometimes I still stand before the mighty decision of fight-or-flight and play out the game because I need to. The difference is, I rarely just quit anymore. I take to heart that line… Before I ever picked up a camera, I was a storyteller. I love when I can take pictures that say more than “CHEESE!” If you can see beyond and into the picture to the story it holds, I am thrilled. And sometimes I just want to tell a story through a series of pictures, which…  I stood at my back door, staring out at the leafless aspens, a sky full of blue, the slight trails of snow on the mountain, and I chewed on the words “change” and “becoming.” I’ve been stuck on this idea that I am changing, turning into a new person. But that isn’t true, not at… I’m lying in the bathtub, my body submerged as much as possible, my face barely above the water. Just enough room to breathe, to watch the steam swirling. I can hear the rhythmic beats of my heart, my breathing, my stomach protesting that I’ve only given it coffee and water so far. My hand and…
