You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go. -Dr. Seuss
Took a lovely, leisurely stroll with a new friend yesterday. Lori* and I soaked up the beautiful sunshine and breeze, while getting to know each other better. Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. “Nobody sees a flower — really — it is so small it takes time...
I’m off getting all ed-u-ma-cated and such, so please enjoy photos for the next couple of days. I really want one of these and should have gotten one so I can wear it on my birthday!
I’m super excited that my photography business idea is coming together (a lot more behind the scenes than in front of). Here’s a sneak peek of two recent shoots, as well as the site (you can see some of it now). Many thanks to those who have been encouraging me on this, and to...
Abby E. Murray recently moved to Colorado (from my old stomping grounds, Georgia) and started the Colorado Springs Writers Reading Series. It meets the third Friday of every month (not next month, though, so don’t show up!). The series just started last month (I read for the first time!) and has already been a great...
I read the nice things that you wrote about my grand daughter Abby E Murray. She is a wonderful young lady and brings alot of laughter to me. I enjoy her poetry, although I don’t understand a lot of it, I enjoy telling my friends about what she writes. Love your trolls. I remember my children having the troll dolls and I made clothes for them. I must have been crazy or insane. Thanks again for the nice words about Abby.
That is wonderful about Abby E. Murray’s work! Her book looks really interesting. Wonderful, colorful photos! It looks like Mr. & Mrs. Troll had a fun time.
*That’s kind of an inside joke. I think my eldest son will get it. If only he loved me enough to even read my blog. Alas… Whoa there, partner! Have you even read the other parts? Go do that first. Part One — Part Two Day Two Lunch Walked in. Immediately saw table with agent’s...
The Conference was fun, wasn’t it. And it’s always nice to meet new people, especially when you’re the ‘new kid’ on the block. I recapped many of the workshops at my blog, because I know not everyone can get to conferences (and besides, there are SO many), so I figure I should pay forward what I’m learning.
It’s taking me forever to share my Pikes Peak Writers Conference experience. Alas, life is busy. However, after Saturday it will be all writing and photography (and laundry and vacuuming and playing with dogs) all the time. Plans – I haz ‘dem! Day Two I was so inspired by the first day, I almost wanted...
Thanks for the mention in your blog! That workshop was really a lot of fun, and I’m glad you took something away from it. Hope to see you at another PPW event soon.
