Today was much like yesterday except I slept better (only woke up once) and deeper, woke up without feeling a strong push for coffee, and I felt mentally energetic. Physical energy was back and forth, but I felt much more clear-headed and I worked on thinkerly things much longer than the norm. That is already a total win for me!
Unlike the first three days, I did not wake up with a raging hunger. In fact, I didn’t eat anything until almost 9 (up at 6). I started the day with probably two ounces of black coffee, then a cup of warm lemon juice. I still didn’t feel hungry for a while, so I drank some juice that I made yesterday.
At 10, I made myself a hearty breakfast of two eggs served with sautéed red pepper, onions, spinach, and parsley. I am cooking more with coconut oil instead of olive oil, since what I’m reading says the olive oil is better for you uncooked. That filled me up and kept me full and un-hungry without any cravings for late into the afternoon. In fact, I didn’t eat a full meal again until 3:30, and I didn’t have to fend off a single craving.
But, I worked tonight. I work in a restaurant. Where they make food. Food that I can’t have. So, no big deal or anything!
I realized how much of a habit it is to just graze on whatever is available, eating on the go, be it cookies or cucumbers, so I had to actually remind myself out loud not to just grab and eat. It was very good, though, that I ate before I left and had food waiting for me when I returned home again.
Not a bad day all in all. Looking forward to it getting better from here.
