I’ve shared some of my eldest son’s writing before, and recently my daughter’s poetry. (I’m waiting to see where my middle child’s artistic interests are.) I… What does it mean to you? 1 – I’m going to give up coffee again. What tends to happen is, the colder it gets, the more I drink, which leads to poor sleeping, sluggish days, and overall ick. And I don’t even LIKE coffee that much. Beyond the first cup, I don’t always enjoy the taste. So, I’m giving it up… Today I am writing not as some Bible scholar (Lord knows I’m not, no pun intended), but as someone who has read the Bible cover to cover a couple of times, someone who is still struggling to understand much of what I have read, how I’ve read it, and how I’m still reading it. I… I am quirky and silly and smart and beautiful. I love colors and pictures and rainbows and sunrises and sunsets. I love making people laugh and being a shoulder to cry on. I am a mom and a wife and a sister and a daughter and a niece and a cousin and a friend. I… I have loved Africa for as long as I can remember. I read books about it, watch movies, documentaries, read articles, and just love the culture, the music, the idea of where it all started. If Africa was a sole subject in college, I’d major in it.
