Angela Giles Klocke » Southern Colorado Writer & Photographer

  • Welcome to my personal blog…

When I die I hope they say, “She sure lived and loved each day.”

I am a God-loving wife of 1 (I'm all New Testament like that), mom of 3+, and a full-time student, writer, and photographer. I live my life in Colorado, surrounded by love and smiles and family and friends - and cameras and books.

The purpose of my blog is to celebrate life - mine and yours. Obviously it focuses on mine and those around me, but I hope that in sharing my life (through words and pictures), you will be moved or inspired or just want to laugh.

    Thriving is my thing!

I blogged for 31 days straight and all I got was this lousy t-shirt*

College just may be absolute heaven for those like myself who are observers, who like to watch, listen, and think about the world and all the people who fill it up. University holds within it so many different types (though all mostly quite young), races, ethnic groups, ideas, silliness, etc. I can’t help but to…

Gettin’ my edumacation on

I’m one week into university life. Well, university life from a non-traditional student’s point of view, anyway (since I don’t live in a dorm room, belong to a sorority, or relate to ANY stories about partying all night and then having to roll out of bed at the crack of noon to hurry and get…

Yesterday, I spent much of the day wrapped in my electric blanket, reading, sometimes just staring off into space, thinking about how it was the last…

“I believe that every person is born with talent.”

-Maya Angelou One of my very favorite things is to watch young artists develop their talents and grow. I love showcasing their work and talking about them (bragging, really). I’ve shared some of my eldest son’s writing before, and recently my daughter’s poetry. (I’m waiting to see where my middle child’s artistic interests are.) I…

No excuses

The new season of The Biggest Loser kicked off last night, and the theme of the season is NO EXCUSES. Perfect! My theme for this year is RADICAL CHANGE, so when I hear the words NO EXCUSES, they go hand-in-hand with my theme. To have radical anything, I think one has to ignore all excuses,…

Turning right, right, right…hey, I recognize that tree!

In 2008, I started my educational journey at the local community college. I went in without a clue. I signed up for a business degree. A business degree? Oh, that’s funny! It is so far away from anything I’d really want to do that I was more scared than excited. By the end of the…

Stop for a moment

Dear Friends, Life has been a busy rush rush rush. That’s usually how it goes, right? Running around from one event to the next, work work work, chores, errands, work work work. Even if you like your work, as I do, it’s too easy to get caught up in getting from Point A to Point…
