My dog Challenge is, well, sometimes a challenge. For years, I’ve been trying to get the perfect picture of him, and seldom do I succeed. Mostly, he is just very uncooperative. Unless, of course, I’m trying NOT to take his picture.
Here I am, working on metering and properly lighting snow:
“Oh, hey. Whatcha doing?”
“I’m not in your way, am I?”
“Don’t take my picture, Mama!”
So, he moves and I fiddle with my settings and try again.
“Oh, whoops. Am I in your way again? Well, don’t take my picture. I’m NOT posing!”
THIS is the usual when I’m actually trying to photograph him.
“Look where, Mama? Over here?”
“Over here? Because I’m sure you don’t mean for me to look AT you.”
But every once in a while, there is that rare moment where it just works and he gives me his best Olan Mills pose.
Gotta love him!
